Our aim is to achieve excellence in both research and academics, delivering world-class teaching and cutting-edge research in the realm of Chemistry, while earning recognition for our innovative contributions. Harnessing the versatile power of chemistry, we envision to make a meaningful impact on society, focusing on three critical areas: Healthcare, Environment, and Energy. Our commitment extends to educating and nurturing future academicians, scientists, and innovators in a sustainable manner.
Mission
Elevate our academic and research programs, such as MSc and PhD, to the pinnacle of excellence by refining our course structure and curriculum. Strengthen our department with a unified body of students and educators to reinforce our continuous commitment to academic and research endeavours. Forge a globally renowned research laboratory, encompassing experimental, theoretical and computational chemistry domains. We will constantly extend the research area with each new faculty member joining the department with the awareness of the current national and international scientific and technological theme. In the immediate future, we aspire to launch the BS-MS dual degree program in Chemical Science, offering students from diverse departments the opportunity to pursue a minor in chemistry. We like to take advantage of having various engineering departments on campus and make the 5-year BS-MS (with exit option) program unique of its kind.
